Privacy Policy

TL;DR

We use Google Analytics to see basic traffic stats (what pages are popular, where visitors come from). We don't collect your personal info, we don't sell data, and we don't track you across the internet. That's it.

What We Collect

Google Analytics (Anonymous Traffic Data)

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our site. This helps us figure out which content is helpful and what we should write more of.

Google Analytics collects:

  • Pages you visit on our site
  • How long you stay on each page
  • General location (country/city level, not your address)
  • Device type (mobile, desktop) and browser
  • How you found us (Google search, social media, etc.)

This data is aggregated and anonymous. We see "500 people from California visited the Fidelity vs Schwab comparison" — not "John Smith from 123 Main St visited at 3:42pm."

What We Don't Collect

Your name or email address
Financial information or brokerage account details
Your browsing activity on other websites
Anything that could personally identify you

Cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies to understand user sessions (like knowing you're the same visitor across multiple page views). These are standard analytics cookies, not advertising or tracking cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use a browser extension like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger. The site will still work fine.

Affiliate Links

When you click a link to a broker and open an account, we may receive a commission. See our Terms & Affiliate Disclosure for full details.

This involves the broker's website, not ours. Once you leave our site, the broker's privacy policy applies.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service we use is:

Google Analytics

Google's Privacy Policy

Data Retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, then automatically deleted. We don't maintain any separate database of user information.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there's not much to request or delete. But if you have any questions or concerns, reach out:

[email protected]

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how we handle data (spoiler: unlikely), we'll update this page and the "last updated" date at the top.
